About The Speaker:

Hi! I'm Verna. I graduated from Plant City High School in 1978 and was married the very next day. Life’s journey has taken a lot of twists and turns for me. I worked for Progressive Insurance Company in Tampa for awhile. Just a few short years into my marriage, I was widowed in 1985 with 2 young boys. I bought a home with land where I successfully boarded horses, trained, broke wild horses, riding lessons, ponied horses for the track, raised goats and traveled around to small rodeos to barrel race. In 1999, I started working for Dignity Memorial as a receptionist and a career was born. I authored the book, “With Trust Comes Hope” which enables me to speak and share with women everywhere about survival, even through the hard stuff.
