Description
January 27th from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM MILO (Mobile Interactive Literacy Opportunity) in the Park! Join us for a fun-filled day of interactive activities in the park to encourage and celebrate a love of reading and school success. Starting at 10 AM: Activities include: Reading circles, arts & crafts, literacy games, a technology station and FREE BOOKS (while supplies last)! Plus a meet-and-greet with Skippyjon Jones! From 11 AM - Noon: Read with Bonnie the Therapy Dog & Tanner the Therapy Dog: Bonnie, a Shih Tzu, and Tanner, an Australian Shepherd, love to snuggle up with anyone who wants to share a book and some pats on the head. Reading with Bonnie and Tanner can help children improve reading, communication skills and build confidence. Bonnie and Tanner are certified through the Alliance for Therapy Dogs. This event will be held outside, behind the library, in Courier Field. Courier Field 703 N Wheeler St, Plant City, FL 33563. Recommended for ages 3-8 and their caregivers. MILO is funded by the Friends of the Library of Tampa-Hillsborough County, Inc. and the Junior League of Tampa.
