2018 Candidate Forum; Plant City’s Premier Political Event
Candidates from across the state line up for inaugural political forum
Plant City, FL:
The Government Advisory Committee of The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce is excited to host a candidate forum on August 21st at the Hillsborough Community College Trinkle Center beginning at 5:30pm. More than 35 candidates have already confirmed their attendance. The forum will take place along the I-4 corridor, focusing on one of the most influential stretches in the state.
The forum will include a meet & greet from 5:30pm-6:30pm where voters from Plant City and surrounding areas can talk with the candidates and ask questions. The program will begin at 6:30pm; during the program the candidates will each have time allotted to address the audience.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote in the official Plant City Straw Poll; the results of which will give insight to the general consensus of Plant City and surrounding areas. The event is free and open to the public; concessions will be available for purchase.
The purpose of this inaugural event is to create informed voters. Voters who attend are encouraged to ask questions and take notes. The goal is that voters will transfer the gained knowledge from this event to the primary elections in late August, and then to the general election in November.
