    ATTN: Plant City Downtown Merchants

Starting on June 4th, the City will begin maintenance work in downtown. The affected area will be south of Baker Street, east of Wheeler Street, west of Palmer Street, and to the railroad tracks south of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

We ask for your patience during this time as workers will be pressure washing sidewalks, restriping streets and parking spaces, and installing greenery in the planters on Evers Street. Street parking will be temporarily blocked as needed. Please know that every step will be taken to minimize any disruption to businesses and other activities downtown.

All work will be performed by City staff and City-approved contractors and should be completed within 15 days. Please note that water with a light bleach solution will be used for pressure washing, so please allow the sidewalks ample time to dry before walking onto carpeted entrances.

The City will send out an update a week prior to the work starting along with door hangers that will be distrbuted a few days prior to work commencing.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact me at (813) 659-4257.

    Sincerely,
    Bill McDaniel
    City Manager
