YMCA Offering All Day Youth-Relief Care

To serve and strengthen our community.
The YMCAs of Tampa Bay are offering all-day youth relief care for essential workers at 21 Y locations
to help support the children of healthcare and emergency response professionals who are playing
important roles combating the coronavirus.
Our Y staff will intentionally teach and encourage good hand hygiene, respiratory etiquette and follow a strict sick child/staff policy. For the safety and well being of others in the program, those running a temperature of 100.4+ degrees cannot attend.
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE:
Dates:
March 23-27, March 30-April 3, April 6-10, April 13-17, April 20-24, April 27-May 1, May 4-8
Time:
7am - 6pm
Cost:
$50 per week
Your child(ren) will have the opportunity to engage in constructive activities; including arts and crafts, outdoor games, and time to focus on pre-assigned academics.
Please ensure your child(ren) are dressed in athletic attire, including sneakers. The number of staff and children present at each shift will be limited to allow social distancing. No child is turned away due to inability to pay. Please inquire about financial aid.
Qualified Essential Workers:
Health and social care workers: Doctors, nurses, midwives, paramedics, social workers & care workers
Education and childcare: Teachers, nursery staff & social workers
Key public services: Those running the justice system, religious staff, charities & journalists
Government: Administrative staff essential to the COVID-19 response, or delivering essential public services like benefits payment
Food and other necessary goods: Anyone involved in food production, processing, distribution, sale & delivery
Public safety & national security: Police, Ministry of Defense, armed forces workers, fire & rescue, National Crime Agency staff, border/national security, prison & probation staff
Transportation: Air, water, road, rail passenger & freight transport modes still in operation during the coronavirus response.
Utilities, communication & financial services: Essential staff to keep the oil, gas, electricity, sewerage and water sector running. Key staff in the civil nuclear, chemical and telecommunications sector, along with postal and delivery services plus essential workers in the financial district.
