Software Needed: Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook, Dynamic GP Strongly preferred
Hands on payroll processor for our dynamic and growing national payroll company in Lakeland FL. The person in this position must have at least 2 years of experience in processing multi-state payrolls and will report to the Payroll Operations Director. Must be detail oriented and hands-on approach. Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy in processing payrolls for multiple companies / divisions. Balance payroll general ledger accounts by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies; initiating journal entries. Fulfill wage garnishment requirements by completing forms, adjusting payroll records, documenting and transmitting withholdings. Responsible for reconciling payroll and payroll related accounts, as assigned. Provides information to external and internal auditors. Respond to Operations Director through assigned task delegation.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Prism HR experience is a plus. Knowledge of state and federal payroll tax codes. Able to interpret the language of all IRS Levies, wage attachments, and child support orders to withhold. Strong analytical skills. Excellent written, oral communications and human relations skills in dealing with all levels of employees. Ability to organize workload and prioritize projects in an ever-changing environment. Must be comfortable in a computer work environment, including a strong user of Microsoft’s suite of products (Excel, Word, Access). Attention to detail, understanding instructions, information and/or concepts. Regularly interact in person or by telephone with employees and outside agencies. Must be a team player that will strive to achieve success by contributing to the payroll department to reach goals. Solid relationship building and effective verbal and written communication skills. Must maintain complete confidentiality of payroll information.
