LEARN Plant City

The 2023 Leadership Plant City class and Plant City High School students have partnered with
the Boys and Girls Club to create a reading initiative to improve reading scores across our community.

A Boys and Girls Club representative will use the Sign Up Genius tool to post volunteer opportunities for students in the Interact Club at Plant City High School.
Volunteers will spend thirty minutes, twice a week (either individually or in a small group) using the supplies provided to deliver reading support for students at the Boys and Girls Club.

Volunteers may choose to guide the students through interactive games on the Chromebooks, tangible games from the learning shelf, timed readings from the manual,
or they could create an activity with the students so that they can practice with their peers. These options offer several different styles of learning to the students so that they get the most out of the program.
